How Much Does Wedding Sound Cost in Charlottesville?

If you're planning a wedding in Charlottesville and trying to understand the cost of sound, the honest answer is that scope matters more than a speaker count. Guest count and ceremony or reception coverage are only the beginning.

These are the planning details that shape the final proposal while public package pricing remains under cost and margin review:

  • Ceremony Only (~50 guests): $950 starting package. A Bose PA, one wireless mic, and music playback for walking down the aisle and vows.
  • Reception Only (~120 guests): $3,250 including DJing and MC announcements. Two JBL mains, a subwoofer, and two wireless mics — our most-booked package.
  • Full Day (ceremony + reception): $3,850 including reception DJing and MC announcements. Separate systems for each part of the day, dual subwoofers for the reception.
  • Live & Large (~250 guests): from $5,500. Stage monitors, an on-site engineer, and a multi-channel mixer.

Common scope additions: an on-site sound engineer, extra wireless microphones, additional subwoofers, LED uplighting, generator support for venues without power, a second coverage location, extended hours, and travel beyond the core Charlottesville service area.
